We spend a lot of time making sure that your products show up when somebody searches through Google. Here are some tips and tricks to help you along your way and boost your sales…
1)
The title of your listing is very important – When somebody searches Google or Zeecreate, they will be searching your item’s title. It is then very important to make this title as relevant as possible
2)
Search Terms - Think about what somebody might search for if they wanted to buy your item. Make sure the title of your item is related to these search terms.
For example this Tu Tu comes up in Google if you type in the words ‘tu tu party skirt’ as this:
party skirt/tu tu (Auction ID: 100211, End Time : Feb. 16, 2008 18 ...
Find party skirt/tu tu in the Clothing & Accessories - Girls category on Zeecreate.
www.zeecreate.com/party-skirttu-tu,name,100211,auction_id,auction_details - 34k –
If it is a painting don’t be tempted to use the title of the painting as the auction title. Make sure you use the word ‘painting’ and try and make the auction title as descriptive as possible.
3)
Use metatags in your webstore – Metatags are keywords that tell Google about the content of that page. To decide what metatags to put in your webstore think about what search terms you would like google to pick up. So for a shop selling tutus I would put in the keywords
“ tu tu, tu-tu, tutu, party skirt, girls skirts,”
Make sure your metatags are mirrored in the wording you use in the text within your store. So in my webstore I would make sure I talked about tutus in my store description and my ‘about this store’ page.
To change your store metatags go to ‘My Store’ in the member’s area and click on ‘main settings’. Here you will have the option of entering in your metatags.
